The flip side

Sometimes farming isn’t about cute babies and fun. Sometimes it’s gritty, sad and dirty. Sometimes it’s doing everything you and good friends can think of to save a favorite bird. Sometimes it’s putting a peahen in your kid’s bathtub because you don’t know where else to put her. Sometimes it’s feeding that bird watery gruel via syringe 27 times a day, and throwing whatever medicines you can think of at her… just hoping you can save her. but in the back of your mind, knowing that the time to give up is approaching. This isn’t always a fun life. It’s a daily struggle to make the best decisions possible for all of the lives in your hands. Today, farming is rough.
